With so many 'celebrities' acting as our style muses at the minute I think it's difficult for a girl to know how she should dress. But when you think about it more why are there actually any rules? Don't get me wrong I understand that girls can be bitchy and can pick apart another girls outfit within 30 seconds of catching a glimpse. But when you think about it some of us (myself) have loved clothes since we were young enough to steal our mums heels and play dress up by making a dress out of our duvet covers and if you're like me your love for fashion hasn't faltered since. I only really noticed Carey Mulligan when I saw her amazing role in one of my favorite films An Education. I then recognised her for her stunning hair. She is one of the very few famous women in the world who consistently has short hair and wears it with real confidence. In the style stakes Mulligan never really stood out to me until the last 12 months. Whether it's her new husband or her growing fame, Carey has certainly got the swing of being stylish. Ok so I know that there are not many celebrity women who willingly have their hair cut short. Majority of the drastic hair cuts are down to roles or parts that they have to fill for their careers. Natalie Portman shaved her hair, Cameron Diaz....endless amounts of beautiful stars sacrifice their hair for their jobs. However, there are a select few who choose to have their hair short. I had previously read an article where Michelle Williams had admitted to having her hair cut short because "Straight men hate women with short hair" This was as a memorial to her former partner Heath Ledger as he was (apparently) the only male she knew that loved women with short hair.
