Style gets Luce.

So 4 days into fashion week and my god have there been some beautiful looks going down the catwalks! Although the one I have been waiting for is another 2 hours away (Burberry) I am finding myself glued to my laptop keeping track of what is going on. Being (what feels like) one of the only people I know not working fashion week, I quite enjoy watching the crowds of fashionistas flood in and take their seats. Also after reading Alexa Chung's advice on "Always have your legs crossed if you're sat front row" I can feel myself checking to see if everybody follows the same rule. After the most powerful front row sitting side by side at the Topshop unique show, an overwhelming feeling of making sure nobody looked Phillip Green or Kate Moss in the eye was clear. The Baftas took place last night in London and I must say for the first time I actually found it quite emotional to watch. Ben Affleck came back with a vengeance winning two awards for his film Argo. Anne Hathaway also won best supporting actress and gave a lovely speech (after she remembered to hug George Clooney) and Dermot O'leary and Caroline Flack did us brits proud when presenting live on the red carpet for E! I have to start off with my favorite look of the whole night. Anne Hathaway has had the biggest and most glamorous fashion transformation in the last couple of years. Going from the geeky teen we saw in Princess Diaries, she has flourished into someone that I have serious style and hair envy with! Wearing Burberry Hathaway oozed elegance and class with her stunning pixie cut and her naturally beautiful look she really pulled off this look well. So Westfield London are running a competition to win your most loved and wanted designer bag! So I was more than happy to jump on board and focus my Winter wardrobe post around the one bag love of my life, my Chloe dream.  My Westfield wardrobe focuses on a collection of my favorite winter must haves and the items of clothing I drool over on a daily basis. Being over £1,000 Chloe handbags are slightly *cough* totally *cough* out of  my price range so being able to admire it from  far is the best I can get! As the jubilee approaches it seems right to keep everything from our wardrobe to our beauty accessories truly British. The use of advertising is a big thing within the world of fashion. If anything it is most important for fashion designers and companies to advertise effectively to sell their work to the right market. So this got me thinking what is it that makes a good advert? Do people want weird and quirky? Straight to the point and bold? Words? Music? What is it that people like to watch? It is both print ad campaigns and TV advertising that helps to promote a brand. So I have come up with a few of my favourites, see if you agree? The Kooples have one of my favourite print ads, the use couples with obvious style and obvious flare but capture the adverts in a way that are hard to ignore.
