Style gets Luce.

Ok so when the 'FROW' of Fashion week are laughing or smiling when the models walk down the catwalk, you can't help but feel a little bit on edge...are they laughing at an inside joke like Harry and Sienna or are they laughing at the designs that a nervous creator has worked months on for this moment? Well today (in fact about ten minutes ago) I sat down in front of  my laptop, not actually at Fashion week to watch the Fashion East show. The catwalk was filled with some of the prettiest models I have seen this week, with their faces painted like cats and dogs. With the opening looks show casing stunning white and cream designs with appliqué florals and cute jackets the show was possibly the most adorable show of the week. The later designs in the show were highlighted with lace covered converse and bright pink combinations making outfits that Katy Perry would be proud of! So 4 days into fashion week and my god have there been some beautiful looks going down the catwalks! Although the one I have been waiting for is another 2 hours away (Burberry) I am finding myself glued to my laptop keeping track of what is going on. Being (what feels like) one of the only people I know not working fashion week, I quite enjoy watching the crowds of fashionistas flood in and take their seats. Also after reading Alexa Chung's advice on "Always have your legs crossed if you're sat front row" I can feel myself checking to see if everybody follows the same rule. After the most powerful front row sitting side by side at the Topshop unique show, an overwhelming feeling of making sure nobody looked Phillip Green or Kate Moss in the eye was clear. Once again I am going to blog about House of Holland, this time because I think his London Fashion week show was one of the best yet! I was lucky enough to spend the day in the House of Holland office yesterday and see how Henry and his team work. It was so inspiring to see a designer working alongside his team at the same desk, chatting about the after show party and laughing at and loving the reviews and quotes they have heard since the show is over. I know that HOH is not to everybody's taste but for me Henry Holland just gets better and better. There is nothing better than a designer who creates a collection from a crazy memory or simple idea that stems from something personal. This collection named "Rave Nana" was inspired by Henry's memories of his Nan and is therefore a collection of CRAZY 70's and 80's prints combined with the ever so Henry quirkiness. I know that us women hate to admit it but I am currently sat here having quite an odd Saturday. Unable to do my uni work due to my lack of a mac, I am sat watching "Snog,marry,avoid' on the TV with my pick of the best menswear shows at Fashion Week playing on my laptop. Based on this, we have to face it ladies men have some pretty amazing clothes on the go at the moment. Although the JW Anderson show cause some serious uproar in the fashion world and in general (it was quite amusing to see people who have never heard of him instagramming pictures of the newspapers) menswear is taking the world by storm. You may disagree but aren't I right in thinking that we all love a bit of androgyny? I personally feel much much more comfortable in my boyfriend jeans and patent brogues than I would do in a flippy skirt and pretty top?
