Vogue Festival - The start of something great

Having been the biggest and best selling fashion magazine for years, this year Vogue finally decided to show case how truly amazing it is by holding a two day Vogue Festival. I was lucky enough to attend the first afternoon session on Friday and was completely blown away. Walking into the Vogue tent attached to the Royal Geographic Society you were immediately welcomed into a starch white room overwhelmed by the "Vogue" mirror. Fashion bloggers, photographers and stylist were snapping pictures from every angle thrusting you straight into their wonderful world of fashion.

When entering into the building after registration you were then left in awe watching some of the biggest brands and names in fashion from Armani and Chanel to Josh Wood colourist working their magic. With the top Armani make up artists teaching fans how to create the perfect smokey eyes, you were then welcome to follow on to allow the Chanel artists to "Red your lips" by finding the best shade of …

Wardrobe warming

Ok so now the beautiful eruption of spring and summer clothes have hit the catwalks and stores we cannot wait to splash the cash and buy our stunning pastels and floral prints. BUT I have noticed one slight problem.

 The weather!

This global warming is causing me some serious wardrobe warming! I buy my pastel jeans and denim jacket to be faced with snow outside my bedroom window the next morning. I leave my fur coat in my flat to come home and it rains constantly for a month. When I start bringing out the chunky knits, its 20 degree heat.

What's a girl to do!

Luckily next week I am unbelievably excited to be going to Vogue festival, as exciting as it is my first worry comes to "What on earth do I wear!?" I mean sitting in front of Dolce and Gabanna and Stella MCcartney a girl needs to look her best! So I thought what combination of girly and seasonal clothes can we all mix together to create the perfect Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter outfits?

Every girls must have, the denim…

A short story

Shorts are always a hit trend in the warmer months, but this season I think the short trend has had a whole new face lift. Tiny denim hot pants that barely cover your bum are no longer seen, instead the most gorgeous paisley and graphics print shorts have been hitting the style charts. Not only that, the amazingly flattering tailored style of all of these shorts make them a perfect fit for anybody.
Here's a few of my favorites: Missoni go for a crochet knit style with tribal prints. Alberta Ferreti go for tropical prints perfect for festival season! Anna Sui chooses silk and a delicate girly print.
However this could slightly break the bank, so luckily for us there are also some high street beauties hitting the rails too! Topshop choose animal print

And my favorite print of the season, the scarf print!
As well as the shorts, the trend has also sparked a new trend of the short suit. The professional and chic new outfit gracing both red carpets and offices by women of all ages and sizes!
