RAVE NANA!!

Image
Once again I am going to blog about House of Holland, this time because I think his London Fashion week show was one of the best yet! I was lucky enough to spend the day in the House of Holland office yesterday and see how Henry and his team work. It was so inspiring to see a designer working alongside his team at the same desk, chatting about the after show party and laughing at and loving the reviews and quotes they have heard since the show is over. I know that HOH is not to everybody's taste but for me Henry Holland just gets better and better. There is nothing better than a designer who creates a collection from a crazy memory or simple idea that stems from something personal. This collection named "Rave Nana" was inspired by Henry's memories of his Nan and is therefore a collection of CRAZY 70's and 80's prints combined with the ever so Henry quirkiness. I did have one major show stopping favorite in the collection (as always) and it is now added to

Baftas best dressed

The Baftas took place last night in London and I must say for the first time I actually found it quite emotional to watch. Ben Affleck came back with a vengeance winning two awards for his film Argo. Anne Hathaway also won best supporting actress and gave a lovely speech (after she remembered to hug George Clooney) and Dermot O'leary and Caroline Flack did us brits proud when presenting live on the red carpet for E! I have to start off with my favorite look of the whole night. Anne Hathaway has had the biggest and most glamorous fashion transformation in the last couple of years. Going from the geeky teen we saw in Princess Diaries, she has flourished into someone that I have serious style and hair envy with! Wearing Burberry Hathaway oozed elegance and class with her stunning pixie cut and her naturally beautiful look she really pulled off this look well. Lucky for her that her short hair looks amazing or cutting it off for her award winning performance in Les Mis may hav

Copenhagen Fashion Week

Image
Sorry I've been a little quiet on the blogging front lately. But I have been rushed off my feet! I was lucky enough to go to Copenhagen last week as it was Fashion Week over there. I will be honest I had never heard of Copenhagen FW until my lecturer mentioned it to us as a possible trip. So we all decided to turn the trip into a little girls holiday and pack up for Copenhagen. We arrived on the Friday when FW had been running since the Wednesday, there was not as much buzz about Fashion Week over there as there is here but there was still an obvious love for fashion and all things fashion the the dainty little city. What I really loved about Copenhagen is how simply stylish the city is, it was full of quaint and pretty little cafes and shops as well as having the high street stores that we have in this country too.  Unfortunately we did not manage to blag our way into fashion week as they security guards on the door don't look like people you would approach. But we did
