Oscar Fever

Image
Now I admit I only really follow the Oscars for two reasons 1. The clothes (obviously) 2. And mainly if I have actually seen one of the films Prime example, I believe that there would have been A LOT of very angry Eddie Redmayne fans out there if he hadn't won Best Actor and I would be one of them! However it is important for the stars of the night to look their best and I have to say that I was kind of disappointed this year. I found the the good dresses were great and the bad dresses were a disaster!! So I have once again ranked my style success stories. Emma Stone in Elie Saab. Red hair and this colour work perfectly. I highly doubt anybody else could have got away with this! Rosamund Pike in Givenchy. Now I may struggle to look at her in a normal way after her crazy role in Gone Girl but this dress is stunning! Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford. She always looks classic. Kiera Knightley in Valentino making her bump look even cuter!...

Baftas best dressed

Image
The Baftas took place last night in London and I must say for the first time I actually found it quite emotional to watch. Ben Affleck came back with a vengeance winning two awards for his film Argo. Anne Hathaway also won best supporting actress and gave a lovely speech (after she remembered to hug George Clooney) and Dermot O'leary and Caroline Flack did us brits proud when presenting live on the red carpet for E! I have to start off with my favorite look of the whole night. Anne Hathaway has had the biggest and most glamorous fashion transformation in the last couple of years. Going from the geeky teen we saw in Princess Diaries, she has flourished into someone that I have serious style and hair envy with! Wearing Burberry Hathaway oozed elegance and class with her stunning pixie cut and her naturally beautiful look she really pulled off this look well. Lucky for her that her short hair looks amazing or cutting it off for her award winning performance in Les Mis may hav...

Golden Globes - Who shone the brightest?

Image
Every fashion lover gets excited when the Golden Globes come round. Not particularly because we care who wins or loses but because we get to see some of the best and worst dresses! *Cheers* This year was a great year though, it is proving quite hard to pick looks that just didn't work. Maybe our blogging has caught up with the style of the celebs and they are starting to listen? But anyway here are some of the best looks from last nights GG's. In my opinion Nicole Richie never goes far wrong with her style choices and her Naeem Khan design last night was stunning! (Also can you believe she's had babies!) The only thing that is slightly questionable is the matching eye shadow? Amy Adams chose to go classic with Marchesa. I will always love any look that invloves Marchesa because the designs are so flawlessly feminine. Beautiful. From Downton to Down right glam. Michelle Dockery wore one of my favorite gowns.  Alexandre Vauthier created this simple, chic and ...

The most fashionable of fashion week

Gabriella Wilde Allyson Felix Laura Bailey Pixie Lott Alexa Chung Olivia Palermo And finally possibly the most stylish friendship group ever! Kelly Osbourne, Pixie Geldoff and Alexa Chung front row! So jealous! xoxo

Alexa.

Once again Alexa Chung has ruled the style stakes. Here in her Charlotte Olympia flats and floral dress she is still the icon that everybody loves. On top of it all, Alexa is now featuring in one of THE best TV shows ever. The firmly fashion based Gossip Girl has a new star. Yes Chung was captured making her debut on the set of the  Manhattan  based show. And in true Gossip Girl style, the "costumes" if you could refer to them as that, are beautiful. How is that Alexa can transition between the most girly and feminine of looks to the leather wearing, biker image and never fail to look amazing? Looking back over some of her most amazing outfits, I have become even more jealous than I was even at the beginning of this post! Rocking ankle grazers, high heels and a black leather jacket, Chung embodies everything that is cool.  Back in 2011 she had managed to team an Isabel Marant jumper, skinny jeans, french sole shoes and a coat from her own Madewell collectio...
