Motel Rocks!

Image
Motel rocks competition by lucyashley13 featuring a green coat My perfect front row outfit would consist of something stylish yet comfortable that still allowed my feminine/geeky style to show. The combination of chelsea boots, an oversized coat in a contrasting colour and simple accessories works perfectly. Also not forgetting my dream quilted Chanel bag! xoxo

With Spring/Summer fast approaching it's time to start thinking about what you want to carry on from your winter wardrobe into the Spring. That's why Next Guess Blogger is back asking those very questions. Next want bloggers to answer one of three questions and produce their answers in a reader friendly blog. There is a chance to win £150 worth of vouchers to spend at Next for the winner so it's well worth a try! Just click " www.blog.next.co.uk/nextguestblogger-its-back" to take a look at the competition for yourself! Personally I chose to focus on the items that I would take from my winter wardrobe and how I would combine them with my new favorite season trend....prints! I love anything printed and to any extreme, whether it is cigarette trousers with a tiny ditsy print or a crazy blouse with a print that will make you squint, I love them! There are 3 key things I would take from my winter wardrobe. 1 - Black leather jacket 2 - Black ankle boots 3 - Black ha

Love the look.

Missguided must haves

Image
Now Missguided always manage to keep up with the good high street trends and they still do not disappoint this season. On top of their usual lovely clothes, it has been the newly stocked coats and jackets that have really caught my eye this time around. I tend to be a bit boring when it comes to coats, I have the obvious leather jacket, a fur coat, a parka and a mac, with the odd blazer and box jacket thrown in that I normally forget I own. But I do tend to go for the staple coats (the ones that I would still wear three years down the line) I don't know if that's because I'm just a bit fussy or because I have never paid under £75 for a coat. I know it sounds silly but when I think about it I always assume that coats are the investment piece of your season.  HOWEVER stop the music because with missguided  I have been proven well and truly wrong! I have fallen head over heels with all of their new season jackets! (I have to wait to go home to order anything because I live

Get yer freak on Giles Deacon

OH MY GOD I am in love! If you read my blog you'll know that I am a complete Henry Holland devotee. I love his designs and accessories more than anything, he is one designer who manages to encapsulate himself in every one of his garments he designs. I love the fact that people second glance if you wear his clothes. Unfortunately being a student doesn't allow me to buy House of Holland, the closet I get is his line in Debenhams (thank god that exists) but today I was having a browse on the HOH website and fell in love with the things I can't afford *boo* *hiss* Holland's new collection is one of his best yet. Oh my goodness! LOVE LOVE LOVE EVEN MORE This is my favorite out of the whole collection. I make a pact with myself that I WILL own this dress. These make me want to live somewhere it's constantly sunny. And as if that wasn't enough, he has also designed a dog coat. Yes a DOG COAT so my beloved puppy can rock the House of Hol

Golden Globes - Who shone the brightest?

Image
Every fashion lover gets excited when the Golden Globes come round. Not particularly because we care who wins or loses but because we get to see some of the best and worst dresses! *Cheers* This year was a great year though, it is proving quite hard to pick looks that just didn't work. Maybe our blogging has caught up with the style of the celebs and they are starting to listen? But anyway here are some of the best looks from last nights GG's. In my opinion Nicole Richie never goes far wrong with her style choices and her Naeem Khan design last night was stunning! (Also can you believe she's had babies!) The only thing that is slightly questionable is the matching eye shadow? Amy Adams chose to go classic with Marchesa. I will always love any look that invloves Marchesa because the designs are so flawlessly feminine. Beautiful. From Downton to Down right glam. Michelle Dockery wore one of my favorite gowns.  Alexandre Vauthier created this simple, chic and

This is a mans world

I know that us women hate to admit it but I am currently sat here having quite an odd Saturday. Unable to do my uni work due to my lack of a mac, I am sat watching "Snog, marry, avoid' on the TV with my pick of the best menswear shows at Fashion Week playing on my laptop. Based on this, we have to face it ladies men have some pretty amazing clothes on the go at the moment. Although the JW Anderson show cause some serious uproar in the fashion world and in general (it was quite amusing to see people who have never heard of him instagramming pictures of the newspapers) menswear is taking the world by storm. You may disagree but aren't I right in thinking that we all love a bit of androgyny? I personally feel much much more comfortable in my boyfriend jeans and patent brogues than I would do in a flippy skirt and pretty top? I mean don't get me wrong I have my girly days where I'm dressed in my pretty Henry Holland dress and heeled boots but there is just something I
