David Downton

I know that everybody assumes that fashion is just designer has an idea, gets somebody else to make it, gets it recognised on the catwalk and BAM they're a billionaire. But its not like that and fashion is not just about clothes.
I have come across David Downton.

David Downton has visited endless amounts of  couture catwalks in Paris over the years and has shown his respect and admiration for Christian Dior by quickly sketching his garments as they come down the catwalk and later developing them into sketches to create art pieces.

    I've just been researching David Downton for a post on my own blog and was looking for images and one brought me straight to your blog, how funny! I hadn't realised you'd done a post on him, I think he's such an amazing fashion illustrator, his sketches are so beautiful. xx

Next festive competition

So feelingstylish.co.uk is running a competition for us bloggers to create a Christmas window for Next. All you have to do is simply design your window using next products and submit your entry in a comment on the feelingstylish.co.uk blog. I have done my own entry (I will admit it is hard to create the window and make it look realistic so make sure you explain your concept) My window focuses on a pale colour scheme. It is extremely feminine and not obviously Christmas themed in the way that there is no red or gold to be seen! I chose to use the two glitter Christmas trees as features as they are adorable! I would actually have the fairy lights on the left wrapped through the branches of the trees for a more whimsical feel. I have then chosen two party dresses. Vogue Festival - The start of something great

Having been the biggest and best selling fashion magazine for years, this year Vogue finally decided to show case how truly amazing it is by holding a two day Vogue Festival. I was lucky enough to attend the first afternoon session on Friday and was completely blown away. Walking into the Vogue tent attached to the Royal Geographic Society you were immediately welcomed into a starch white room overwhelmed by the "Vogue" mirror. Fashion bloggers, photographers and stylist were snapping pictures from every angle thrusting you straight into their wonderful world of fashion.  When entering into the building after registration you were then left in awe watching some of the biggest brands and names in fashion from Armani and Chanel to Josh Wood colourist working their magic.
