Beautiful people wear lace

Lace is a love/hate material in the fashion world. Personally I love lace everything! Using lace creates clothes that are extremely feminine, subtle and sophisticated whilst still maintaining style. Now summer is upon us (sort of) I think it is time that lace hits the shops and our wardrobe with force! 

Whitney Port has said herself that beautiful people wear lace, I agree.

So here are some of my favorite lace picks from some of our favorite high street stores.

Richard Nicoll for Topshop - This is beautiful, his wedding dress inspired collection is set to sell out fast!
This lace back peplum top from Topshop captures two of this seasons top trends with the flattering cut and contrasting colours. I love this!

Asos have created this angelic lace and mesh dress, perfect for summer!
These are my biggest and best bargain, £7.99 in the Zara sale for these stunning lemon yellow and white lace shorts. Festival chic eat your heart out!

Team any of these beautiful lace items with a pair of cute coloured brogues and a contrasting blazer for the perfect summer evening outfit. I have to offer one piece of advice when wearing lace just to avoid any disasters. 
If you wear dark lace, lay off any strong make up, the combination of dark lace and heavy face will create a slightly gothic or fancy dress image. Instead stick with pretty pastel make up as natural as possible and live it up with lace in the summer sun!

Next festive competition

So feelingstylish.co.uk is running a competition for us bloggers to create a Christmas window for Next. All you have to do is simply design your window using next products and submit your entry in a comment on the feelingstylish.co.uk blog. I have done my own entry (I will admit it is hard to create the window and make it look realistic so make sure you explain your concept) My window focuses on a pale colour scheme. It is extremely feminine and not obviously Christmas themed in the way that there is no red or gold to be seen! I chose to use the two glitter Christmas trees as features as they are adorable! I would actually have the fairy lights on the left wrapped through the branches of the trees for a more whimsical feel. I have then chosen two party dresses. Seeing as party season is all about the sparkle I chose to pale pink numbers both embellished beautifully with sequin. Money vs Style

As I sit here next to my best friend searching Amazon for a cheap pot of OPI muppets collection I can't help but wonder if having more money makes it easier to be more stylish?  Think about it..... Being a student means I am poor 99% of the time apart from my birthday or Christmas. Luckily for me it is my 21st birthday on Sunday and therefore had the luxury of having over 200 pounds to spend on of course clothes! Although I wanted my Mulberry Bayswater for my birthday I was EVEN more over joyed to unwrap my beautiful Michael Kors rose gold watch off my parents. (partly because it is extremely shiny) but mainly because this is the first truly expensive item I have really owned.
