ASOS made Fresh

Image
So although I may not be a student any more, I appreciate that many freshers this year (as well as all other years) will be looking forward to loan day. I also know that when you start uni you hit a major identity crisis. When hitting this wall whats a girl to do? Well...you could go through one of those weird phases that you see people having where they dress up as a cat for a week or shave their head. OR you could head over to one of my favourite websites and shop until you create a whole new you!! My way is best right? So here we go...let me introduce you to the wonderful world of ASOS and it's wonderful discounts. So I advise you now as a former Fashion student you WILL want to sign up to everything possible with ASOS get on Unidays, get on ASOS premier....EVERYTHING. It is also one of the very few places that you can get student discount on items from shops that don't actually do student discounts themselves aka River Island. So I have picked out my Freshers top...

Not so popular now

Well well well....I personally have never been THAT much of an Urban Outfitters fan. Yes they're good for stocking up on pretty coffee table books and the occasional collared dress (which I'm always a fan of) but I am definitely not a fan of anything 'Urban renewal' or denim shorts that show half of your bum cheek when you're walking around. Urban seems to try to hard to not try hard. Now just to add fuel to the fire Urban have gone and released a t-shirt which is being viewed as being completely for eating disorders. I know that it is a dramatic reaction to the release of a top but the stores "Eat Less' has caused a riot across the world of celebrities and eating disorder charities. Sophie Bush has also declared war on the store saying that she will no longer buy clothes from them and urging people to donate money that they would have spent in store to charity. This comes briskly after the store released a t-shirt featuring 'Depression' and ...

Darling Dahlia

Image
If you haven't already discovered this beautiful gem of a brand then here is a run down of possibly one of my favourite collections of beautiful clothing and accessories around. Dahlia is the epitome of quirky girliness, created by Tracy and her sister, the girls began by making designs and selling them in Portabello and Spitafields markets.  Unlike anything else around, you cannot be surprised that the clothing blew up when it was spotted and fallen in love with by fashion loving girls.  Now my personal style can only be described as geeky school girl (hence why I am constantly asked if I am a child or not....I'm nearly 24 ps.) So when I cam across pastel colours, box fits and lace trims I could have cried. To top it all of the brand is also responsible for creating possibly the most beautiful shoes I have seen. But enough of my waffling, let me show you some of the delights. This lace overlay top is more than a pretty shirt. The clever thing with Dahlia is that ...

A catch up

Image
Well blogging world its safe to say that balancing my sudden adult life and my blogging life is becoming extremely difficult! My poor baby has been abandoned for over a month! I haven't had the spare time until right this second to take the time to type! Quick catch up on it all...I have a new flat, a new job and still unfortunately no new man (and Robbie Williams still hasn't fallen in love with me)  BUT luckily in my time off from blogging quite a lot has happened...my favourite thing being quite recently with Orlando Bloom punching Justin Bieber, but we'll brush over that. OH and also I graduated!!! WOOO!!!  I have also become the proud owner of some beautiful additions to my Michael Kors and Vivienne Westwod collections....its been a great couple of months hey! So I finally Graduated!!  I went to see Paul Weller with my Dad which was an amazing night! Made better by the fact that it was sunny so I could wear my new Westwood sunnies...

The wake up call

Image
So the time has come....mine (and many of my friends) lives as students has come to an emotional end. We have had tears, meltdowns, drunken nights, injuries, arguments, good grades, bad grades, great days and some awful days. But altogether the past three years have formed the best part of all of our lives. But I am sat here now thinking about when I started this blog, I was down in the dumps, sat in my stinky halls in Manchester crying because I wanted to go home....that was FOUR years ago. FOUR. Since then I have literally had the best and worst days of my life and I have now well and truly hit the wall of growing up, full blast, full pelt, flat in the face. I finished uni expecting to become a hot shot fashion star, living the high life in London with job offers coming left right and centre. Instead...I had my dream internship offer...I can't afford to live in London. London off the list. I applied to work in Manchester (live at home, commute earn some money) ...

Spring is here!

Image
Well it's been a while! Apologies for my lack of blogging over the last few months I have been rushed off my feet. I am about a month away from finishing uni forever (therefore have been in a state of growing up panic) and have been trying to get my Final Major Project done for the last three months. I decided to give myself a stupid amount of work to do using programmes and techniques that I have NO idea how to use...hence the needing maximum brain capacity and taking a step away from blogging. Well I say a step away, I have actually been interning at Motel in Bristol and blogging a little bit for them (check it out on motel rocks.com) trying to get as much experience as I can before I actually have to bite the bullet, grow up and start acting like I'm 23 not pretending to be stuck in the wonderful world of 21 forever. I have a slight case of Peter Pan syndrome going on. BUT enough of that. I have fallen head over heels in love. With The White Pepper. They're n...

Flirt with the sweatshirt

Image
With this god awful weather hitting us, it is impossible to get the courage up to go outside and face a battering of pouring rain and gale force winds but high street and our beloved online stores are making it that little bit more appealing by making it ok to wear sweats. Now don't get me wrong, by sweats I mean sweatshirts...I am still a strong believer of the fact that sweat pants are a sign of defeat when compared to other REAL clothing. However, the sweatshirt trend is proving to be very nice indeed! With cheeky slogan, cropped fits and every colour you could think of here are my top picks of the best sweetest sweats around. Motel stock this Made in Hell sweat for £60 - Remember Motel are  amazing for student discounts Topshop stock the brand And Finally who created this  Sgt Peppers sweat H&M's trend collection (which I love) stock this over sized sweatshirt  which is a bargain at £24.99 River Island also stock this girly s...
